Lunch For A Lonely Mother (OPEN!)

[Kate Hudson]

Kate walked into the Rose and smiled at the man who tok in the bookings.
"I'm sorry, I don't have a booking," Kate said with puppy eyes.
"No problem Mrs Hudson, you're always welcomed here," the manager smiled approaching her.
Works every time! Kate thought and smiled,"Thank you,"
With Ryder, dressed in his Burberry suit, in one arm and her hand bag in another, Kate sat down at the table by the window.
Palcing her well behaved son on a baby chair, she sat down opposite him and looked at the menu.

"For Ryder, I'd like french fries with chicken nuggets - please not fired, grilled would be much better. Also an apple juice for him. And for me? Well, lets have this chicken salad over here and a small brouchette. Oh and ofcourse cranberry juice," Kate smiled politey at the waiter.

"Perfect choice, m'lady," the waiter nodded and took the menus from Kate who then buisily started playing with Ryder.

17 year old Ashley Tisdale walked into the Rose and looked around. The Rose was huge, it was beautiful, and it was just what she needed. Just some place to sit down and have a really nice meal without having to worry about the pesky papparatzi. She smiled to herself and spotted the man that was taking reservation. She walked up and flashed her pearly whites. "Tisdale... Ashley that is." The man smiled and led her over to a table for one. This restaurant was nearly impossible to get into, unless you were a somebody, which Ashley had become. The waiter slid out her chair for her so that she could sit down and she did so in a beautiful manner.

Ashley opened her menu and stared blankly at the pages. One would think that of all the food in The Rose, something would appeal to her, but it didnt. She sat there looking at the pages, trying to figure out what would best fill her up. She lifted her eyes from the table and spotted Kate Hudson. The pair had yet to meet, but Ashley had always been a fan. And her son, Ryder was so... perfect! She smiled to herself and continued to look at the menu.

"What can I get you this afternoon Miss. Tisdale?" The waiter asked as he came around to take her order. Ashley glanced at the menu once more and finally made up her mind.

"I'll have the chicken salad, with..." She thought for a second. "Light ranch on the side please." Ashley stated firmly. She smiled as the waiter took her menu and continued to look around The Rose.

As her order arrived, Kate gave little Ryder his lunch and sat down to tuck into her own salad. Glancing around, she noticed a very familiar face, Ashley Tisdale. As their tables were near Kate patted the girl's shoulder and said,"Um, Ashley?Not sure you remember me, I'm Kate Hudson, I've seen you at some party recently but we didn't get a chance to accually meet,"Kate politey smiled.

"Who could forget you Kate?" Ashley asked, and grinned. "Fancy seeing you here! I was just admiring how your son is so, well mannered..." She said, and waved at Ryder.

Ryder went all red and hid by his mother. Kate laughed,"Yep but also shy like hell," laughed Kate.
"How are you doing then?"

Ashley laughed and pulled her chair over to Kate's table. "I'm doing wonderful... How about you?" She said with a smile.

"Quiet well. If you can call being all alone with son and a bunch of wrinkles okay,"Kate joked cheerfully.

Ashley laughed. Then she spotted the waiter looking around the room for her because she had left her table. She put her hand up in the air and he spotted her.

"Sorry about that miss..." He said, and set down her salad. She thanked him and turned back to Kate.

"So do you have any good movies coming out soon?" She asked.

"Not really...I want to be with Ryder for a while...I don't want him to be like one of those Victoria Beckham's kids who know their nanny better than their mum. What about you? Any big events in your life?" Kate smield politley.

[Ashley Tisdale]

"The premire of High School Musical: 2 is coming out soon... But that's nothing that big... Just another show for the Disney Channel." Ashley said smiling. She put her fork into her salad and took a small bite. She smiled at Ryder who was still hiding behind Kate.

"Ryder, would you stop being silly?" Kate said calmly but sternly to her son,"Oh, well that's brilliant. You did a great job, I watched that,"Kate said with a small chuckle and ate some of her salad.

[Ashley Tisdale]

"Thanks so much!" Ashley said, and took another bite of her salad. She and Kate were off to a great start and she could honestly think that they could be great friends in the future.

Kate nodded,"And what about the love life?" she smiled, hoping Ashley didn't find that too much of a personal question.
Shuffling Ryder's hair she looked back at Ashley.

"Love life?" Ashley repeted, and turned a small shade of red. "I kinda like this kid, maybe you know him, Mitchel Musso? He's two years younger then me, but lately we've been hanging out so much." She said, and laughed. "He's such a sweet heart, but that's about it."

"Never heard of him. But ignore me. I'm an old, silly woman who dated too many celeb men,"Kate chuckled,"So you're not planning to make a first step or something?" asked Kate.
