Danah flipped back her curly brunette hair as she set down her towel. She stripped off her clothes only to reveal a pink bathing suit with a small marroon picture of a palm tree on it. She took off her diamond sunglasses as she set off to the water. She reached the edge of it, and didn't realize a rather large wave crashing towards her. The seemingly cold water frightened her for a second, then she recovered herself.
She stepped deeper into the water, glad she could see to her feet. She was terrified of sharks, and if you can't see the bottom of the water, she wasn't in there. She tied up her hair in a messy updo and played around, splashing the water here and there.

Mitchel laid in an intertube, floating around in the middle of the ocean. He wasn't too far off, he was actually on a sand bar that only took a little while without touching the bottom to get to. It was a good spot to just relax in. He thought he heard something, and looked up, bringing himself out of his own thoughts. That's when he saw Danah. "Hey!" He said, raising a hand to sheild his eyes.
He then jumped off his intertube and swam over to her, wading the rest of the way untill he got about 5 feet from her.

Danah looked up when she heard her name being called. Oh no, Mitchel was coming over to her. She didn't have a mirror with her, what if her hair was a mess? She didn't bother to fix it for that would give everything away. "Hey!" she said, raising her hand and waving as he waded closer. She put all of her wait on her left leg and rested her left arm on her hip.

"What's up?" He asked, looking around nervously. Well, of course, the sky was up, but he didn't mean it like that. He played with the sand with his feet, squishing his feet down so they were practically drowned in sand.

Danah glanced around their surroundings. "Not much, what about you?" she asked, not meeting his gaze in return. She swished her hands around in the water a little bit while waiting for an easy response.

Mitchel, his feet now stuck in the sand, was struggling to get them out. He finally popped them out, then replied, "Same here. We just finished shooting Hannah Montana for the time being, so me and everyone just have to sit around and wait for shooting to start up again. Maybe going to a premiere or two in the near furture but for now, I'm just chilling around here." He put on a small smile, putting his arm around the intertube so it wouldn't float away.

Danah nodded. "Yeah, I have a lot of time off, too. Since Lost isn't starting out again until September, I'm pretty much free despite the occasional music buisness." she replied, her voice beginning to get shakey. She knew she liked him, but why is she becoming a nervous wreck? He was one of her closest friends...

Mitchel shifted his weight, eyeing her curiously. She was getting a bit fidgety today. Like something was wrong. He tried his best to act casual, to lighten up the mood and make it so they could talk more openly by smiling sweetly and saying, "You want to go get something to eat?"

Danah smiled uneasily. "Sure." she asked. She unfortunately could tell he meant this as a friend going out with a friend for some lunch. She started wading in the water towards shore, letting the light breeze blow back her hair.

Mitchel noticed an expression in Danah's face that meant something along the lines of, 'God, I love you. But you just wanna be friends.'
He had figured she liked him, but never really knew it untill now. But he really just wanted to be friends, because if things didn't work out if they dated, their relationship would be ruined. Well, most likely. He thought it over in his mind, then decided if by the end of the lunch if he felt like he could, he would start something out of it.
"Let's go." He said, grabbing her hand and leading her to the shore.

Danah followed him out of the water, wading the whole way. Sand stuck her her feet as she stepped onto shore. It was an uncomfortable feeling. An even worse feeling was knowing Mitchel knew. How could he tell? She was such a give away.

Mitchel grabbed a towel he brought, and dried off. He then put on a short-sleeved t-shirt, then turned to Danah. "Where do you want to go to eat?" He asked, letting her choose where. He didn't really care where to go at the moment.
