Setting up his blue folding chair, Jared Padalecki prepared for a few hours - or minutes, depending on how long he wished to stay - of plain R & R - Rest and Relaxation under the shade of the palm trees. He had brought along his faithful German Shepherd/Pitbull/Dingo, Sadie, to get her some fresh air and allow her to hang out with him. She was an extremely obedient dog, and Jared was proud of how well he had trained her, and how well she had listened. He sat down and whistled for Sadie to come to his side, and she did, immediately laying down next to him under the shade of one of the palm trees' large leaves.
Jared wore his sunglasses, both for recognition purposes and to ward off the glare from the sun that still seeped through the cracks of the leaves. He had brown sandals on, and he wore light blue jeans with a pink polo that had horizontal navy stripes surrounded in white on them(how he looks in my sig, basically). He had his watch on his left wrist, and on his right was a thin black band. The 24-year-old actor glanced fondly at Sadie before opening his favorite book, The Great Gatsby, to read again.

Is seemed that coming to the beach was now a daily routine for Katie Holmes. Maybe it was the fact that everytime she went there she met a new friend or maybe because she just like seeing the ocean and getting away from things at home. Not that things were bad of course, things at home were just perfect. With a new fiance and a new daughter things couldn't go wrong in her life. As she walked along the beach, wearing the same shades from yesterday, Katie decided to do something diffierent today.
Instead of just walking along the the white beach, she would instead sit under one of the many palm trees that the beach had. If she was going to go to the beach everyday, she might as well did something different each time she did. As she walked towards the nearest palm tree, which was only a few feet away, she looked around the beach trying to remember each detail about it, so she could tell Suri about this trip here. Of course, she knew that the little baby couldn't understand her, but that didn't mean Katie wasn't going to talk to her daughter about things she would soon take her when she got a older.
As she reached the palm tree, having it took a few minutes seeing as she kept stopping and staring at all the people at the beach, she noticed that a young boy..well young man seeing as he looked about the same age as her was already there, with his dog. She smiled at the dog and slowly kneeled down at the dog and petting her gently hoping the young owner wouldn't mind her doing so. Katie continued petting the dog softly as she looked up towards the young man who was reading a book. "You have a nice dog. May I ask what her name is?". She hoped she wasn't disturbing him, by asking the question.

Jared heard footsteps approaching, and he set his book down, placing the napkin he was using as a bookmark in the place he had stopped reading. He closed the book and looked up, watching as she pet Sadie. The dog was enjoying it, as she panted in delight, obviously loving the attention. Jared chuckled and took off his sunglasses revealing his blue/green eyes, placing them in his pocket for now. He leaned forward and offered a friendly smile, recognizing the woman as Katie Holmes. Being a fellow actor, Jared often recognized most other actors. When you were in the same business as someone, it was hard not to know who they were.
He placed his hand affectionately on Sadie's back, glancing down at his dog before looking back up at Katie. "Hey, and thanks, he said, scratching the back of his neck briefly. "Her name's Sadie. She's a mix between a German Shepherd, Pitbull, and a Dingo. She doesn't have much of a Pitbull's personality, though. She's really a sweetheart." He chuckled again, before politely holding out his hand. "I'm Jared Padalecki. Katie Holmes, right?" He tilted his head, just trying to confirm it was really her. There were a lot of look-alikes out there. He wasn't sure if she would recognize him or not, but it didn't really matter.
ooc; nice long post you got there. :3

Katie stopped petting the dog, as she let her right hand shakes his. She put her hands down by her side and smiled as he tilted his head to look at her. Yeah, she knew there were alot of look alikes out there so if he had to see if it was really her, then didn't mind. She smiled and nodded "Yeah I'm Katie Holmes. The one and the only". She turned her gaze back to the dog, well now Sadie since she knew her name. She blinked after hearing what kind of dog she was. A dingo? Wow....so she was a little bit of everything? Well..Katie didn't really know much about dogs, so that could actually be normal.
"And I knew who you were. Jared Padalecki. You were on House of Wax and you play Sam on Supernatural..correct?" she asked looking at him before looking back at Sadie. She was a fan of Supernatural, watching it ever chance she could. She smiled at the dog and began petting her again. She had always wanted a dog, though she never had the time to get one because of her busy schedule, though maybe now that she was taking a break on acting she might be able to get one now.
"Do you enjoy your acting job?" she asked suddenly. Well..she didn't want their conversation to go dead, because even though they only said a couple of sentences to each other she was enjoying talking to him. Though she didn't know if that was right question to have asked, but it was the first question could she think of and she had accidently blurted it out.
ooc: Pfft..well I try

Jared smiled and put his hand back down on his leg after she shook it, setting his book beside him in the chair. "I have another dog too, but he's at my hotel room right now. He's a Mastiff mix named Harley Brown, but he's Harley for short. I don't bring him out as much as Sadie, because he's younger and not even half as obedient as she is." The actor shrugged, a smirk still on his lips. He hadn't really gotten around to training Harley yet because of his schedule, and training a dog took a lot of time - not to mention a whole lot of patience. Which he had, but not always. With Supernatural going into its second season, Jared didn't have a whole lot of time off, and when he did he used it to relax, mostly. Though he had taught Harley basic commands and obedience, he was only really in the first stages of training.
At Katie's next words, Jared nodded, pleased at the recognition. Not in a conceited way, but pleased in general that she had seen some of his work. "Yeah, that's right. And Dean on Gilmore Girls, and a few other movies. Most people recognize me as Dean, but I'm starting to see more of them, like you, recognize me as Sam. It helps that my fans followed me from Dean to Sam... it's gotten Supernatural more publicity." And obviously this was a good thing. Though he had left the character Dean Forester behind, it sometimes got confusing, as Sam Winchester's brother on the show, played by Jensen Ackles, was also named Dean. Since he had played Dean Forester for a good five solid seasons, he sometimes got the characters confused and would often think he was still Dean before realizing that he wasn't... anymore.
At her question, Jared immediately nodded again with a broad smile. There was a twinkle in his eyes as he spoke. "I love it," he said, with obvious passion. "I couldn't picture myself doing anything else. I love what I do, and I wouldn't change it for the world. It's sort of a lifetime thing, too, the publicity you get, so if you don't like it; it can be a real burden. But I do, I love it... and my fans. Some people forget that, but really your fans are who get you where you are. I won't forget that." Jared spoke with utmost sincerity, and he glanced down towards the happy Sadie before looking back up at Katie. "How about you, do you like it?" He always felt comfortable talking to a fellow actor, because they had so much in common, so much to share.

She watched him set his book aside, which made her frown a little. She didn't want him to stop reading the book if he enjoyed it, she didn't have to talk to him that bad. Well since he stayed at the hotel it was of course going to be the Ritz. If he didn't stay there, then he must didn't want to be bothered since people seem to spend alot more time in people's rooms then their own. Like she spent alot of time over Keira's hotel room, because she had the biggest hotel suite she had seen and because Keira was one of her best friends. She gave a small laugh at the dog's name. "Nice name. People you used to say that about me. I'm young and not that very obediant...well at leasts thats what the paparazzi says".
He had also starred in that scary movie Cry Wolf, at least she thought he did. She hadn't seen the movie yet and didn't want to..seeing as she wasn't a big scary movie fan, though she had heard he had been very good in it. She wasn't sure if he was one of the people that died in the movie. Katie nodded understanding his words. Of course if they liked him in Gilmore Girls, they would love him in Supernatural. "My favorite episode is the Bloody Mary one. I bet you had all your fans scared, because they thought you were going to die" she said with a smile. She moved a strand of hair out her face, as she wrinkled her nose. "I've never watched Gilmore Girls" she added with a frown. Its not like she didn't want to see, she just didn't have the time to see it.
She grinned as he seemed to brighten up talking about his job. He was right, it was was all about the fans who made them stand where they were today. Loving them so much to make then websites, clothing, and so many other things she could think of. Not to mention all the letters they would send them, she didn't know if Jared received fan letters, but almost every celebrity did. Like Tom received many, and he always found time to read every one. "I love it as well...I'm glad I chose it over modeling. Because it seems that even if I am an actress I can still get my face on the cover of a magazine or pose for some picture a photographer wants me to do" she said doing a small shrug as she did.
Once again she wrinkled her nose as she thought about the negativity that comes with the job. Not all the fan letters were good, some were cruel. Very Cruel at that. Then not being able to get any privacy anywhere you go. She frowned remembering the time she went shopping and she had about a million cameras following her, of course she didn't mind as long as they didn't bother her. She had still been pregnant at that time and if she had just gotten a mood swing at them, it would probably had ending up a nasty story. "So...who's your favorite actors and actresses?" she asked trying to change the subject. She looked back at Sadie and smiled at her as she barked happily.
