Danah and Monica Getting To Know Eachother Well

As Danah's bare feet met the hot sand, she flinched. She made her way to the shade of a palm tree, quickening her pace as well. She lay down her light purple towel, straightening out the corners. She layed down on it and waited for Monica to arrive. Monica was a girl she had met at the store, and despite their seven year age difference, they get along very well so far.</sub>

[Monica]

Monica arrived at the beach and she saw Danah on her purple towel. "Hey!" Monica greeted Danah. Monica lay down her pink towel with purple tropical flowers down. She took of her coverup that was like a skirt and put it in her beach bag.

_{She lifted her sunglasses to rest on the top of her head. "Hey, what's up?" she asked with courtesy. She met Monica's green-blue gaze as she waited for a response.}

[Monica]

"Not much. On the way here a bunch of papparatzi tried to get pictures of me so that is why I am late," Monica said. She hated it when papparatzi made her late for something. Monica looked at the water. It was so beautiful. There were small waves crashing onto the shore. The water looked so warm. It was a perfect day to go swimming.

_{Danah sat up, following Monica's gaze to the ocean. The water gently swayed back and forth, the pull and push motion made Danah dizzy, but in a good way. "Do you want to go swimming?" she suggested, looking up at the clear blue sky. The sun was blazing hot today, and practically anyone would want to go.}

[Monica]

"That sounds like a great idea!" Monica said glad that Danah suggested it. Monica got up from her towel and went straight towards the water. She was practically running she was so excited to go in. She was a the edge and she walked in a little bit. The water felt so refreshing.

_{Danah followed Monica to the water, having a fast pace as well. She leaped into the water, splashing Monica in the process. She didn't notice she splashed her, though. She went under water and swam about ten feet out before coming back up again. "Want to go out to the sand bar?" she asked, remembering when Mitchel had been out on the sand bar when he had greeted her that day.}

[Monica]

"Sure. That sounds like a great idea!" Monica replied. She followed Danah out into the water. Monica always loved going out to the sand bar. Monica swam past Danah because Monica had always been a really fast swimmer.

_{Danah noticed Monica swim past her, and decided to start swimming herself. She passed Monica and beat her to the sand bar, for she too was a fast swimmer. She knew it was the sand bar because the sand was soft and bumpy. The water was up to her waist.}

[Monica]

Monica was right behind Danah when she reached the sand bar. The water was a little past Monica's waist. "It is so nice out here!" Monica said. The water felt so refreshing on such a hot day.

_{Danah smiled, burying her feet in the sand remembering watching Mitchel do it. It felt very relaxing. "Yeah..." she nodded as she agreed.}

[Monica]

Monica was burying her feet in the sand as she saw Danah doing. It felt very soft and seemed like it was good for her skin. Monica looked out into the distance and thought she had seen a dolphin jumping through the water. It was probably just my imagination, Monica thought wishing it wasn't.

_{Danah followed Monica's gaze, for some reason expecting to see a shark fin. She was terrified of sharks, and there were one or two sightings of them at this beach. They were all probably a score ago. "Have you seen anyone special who catches your eye, lately?" she asked, giggling at the thought of what could possibly be her answers. Pete was more than likely one of them, but maybe a few more.}

[Monica]

"Well, yes," Monica said. She was thinking, Pete Wentz of course! "I would have to say Pete. What about you?" Monica asked. Monica didn't know if Danah liked anyone so she was very curious. Monica turned to Danah waiting for an answer.

_{Danah shrugged, not knowing if she was ready to let this person know about her secret crush. "Terrell. He's fine, but his personality... eh..." she trailed off, not knowing how to describe it. He started hitting on her friend Kate, then fell in love with his co-stars on Pirates of the Carribbean; Keira Knightley.}
